Medical profession is growing day by day. At this juncture the public and patients expect perfect diagnosis and cure the earliest. But we know that this is not possible always, which usually ends in lot of litigations against doctors and hospitals. To get accurate diagnosis and treatment at the earliest we depend on different types of medical equipments, many of them are high-tech and costly. One the other side of the scene, the companies create lot of burdens to the customers by frequent price variations, inadequate after sales services, taking high AMC as well as breaching the contracts. Many IMA members and medical institutions requested IMA to setup a body to take appropriate measures so that the members so that the members of the scheme (PEPS) are protected from such unhealthy practices.
PEPS helps by :-
a) Providing details of medical equipments.
b) Providing details of the medical companies.
c) Ensuring adequate after sales service.
d) Employment bureau.
Eligibility for Admission
1) Any member of IMA.
2) Any management of a hospital or diagnostic centre can join the scheme as the beneficiary of the scheme through a member of IMA.
Liability and Limitations
The liability if the scheme is limited to the transfer of information with regard to the request in question which is based on the data available on record at the time and to support its members in cases of disputes of after sales service etc..
PEPS is not an insurance scheme
